read this. it’s essentially everything i believe about birth, not only as woman, but what the birthing process has become in the u.s. had i been a bit more educated, my own birthing process would have gone a bit differently (i would have pushed back a bit on being induced, instead of not asking questions or finding alternatives to lower my blood pressure first) (although i am still 100% happy/proud/i am mama, hear me roar about everett’s birth).
